SUMMER 2010 UPDATE

After a cool, snowy and rainy spring it looks like summer may finally be within reach. We are all super excited for the long warm days ahead and anticipate a full schedule of fun and enjoyment every day. Plan to experience Aspen this summer and see why it is such an exciting and memorable place to spend your vacation.

Rafting trips down our local rivers have started, biking season is in full force and there are lots of hiking areas free of snow now. The Saturday Farmers’ Market starts June 19 in downtown Aspen, Jazz Aspen Snowmass June Festival begins June 27 and the Aspen Music Festival (www.aspenmusicfestival.com) and Theatre Aspen (www.theatreaspen.org) start in early July. Aspen Santa Fe Ballet begins July 16. Many, many events are planned throughout the summer so visit www.aspenchamber.org for a complete list.

The kids will have no problems keeping busy at local summer camps, area parks, Aspen Recreation Center, activities at the top of Aspen Mountain via the Silver Queen Gondola, bike riding, skateboarding at the Rio Grande park, playing in Aspen’s famous Hyman Avenue fountain, getting ice cream downtown, and more.

Afternoon or evenings are a perfect time to stroll into town for a lively happy hour or a delicious meal. With so many restaurants to choose from, everyone will find a place that suits their style and tastes. During the summer months, outside dining is offered all around the downtown core.

Aspen is a cultural capital, a dining delight and a nature lover’s heaven. So why wait? Come and visit us and see why you will want to come back every summer. With so much to experience, you can never do it all in one trip.

See you soon!
