The ski season
officially ended on April 13 on a gorgeous blue sky day with warm
temperatures which made for a perfect closing day. The locals
were out in force with some crazy attire celebrating the end
of one of our best winters ever. For those that need to get on
the slopes a few more times, the Aspen Skiing Company is planning
to reopen Aspen Highlands on April 19, 20, 26 & 27.
So
now our thoughts are turning to spring and hoping Aspen will start
greening up. There are lots of snow piles to melt and much freshening
up to do around the area. We have been getting calls from guests
looking for summer reservations for a couple months now. It is
a wonderful time of year knowing the summer season isn’t
far off and soon the flowers and the leaves on the trees will
be out, especially after all the months of snow, snow, and more
snow.
The usual activities
will be going on all summer long so there is something for everyone
in the Roaring Fork Valley and especially in Aspen. We look forward
to seeing you soon!
