Insider's Scoop: Shopping Tips
Even the most avid shopper will be beguiled by the incredible
scope and charm of Aspen’s stores and boutiques. For a small
town, Aspen packs quite the shopping punch, ranging from Gucci,
Prada and Ralph Lauren to locally-owned establishments like the
down-to earth yet unbelievably enticing Carl’s Pharmacy where
you can pick up any necessity you care to name (and plenty you
hadn’t yet thought of). And the beauty of it all, is that
it’s all to be found just steps away, within the downtown ‘core’.
We
know that many visitors like nothing more than to spend time exploring
shops on their own, with the element of surprise being a big part
of the fun. However if you want suggestions or are looking for
something in particular, we will be delighted to help.
For skis,
including rentals and anything you might need for your outside
activities visit our good friends at Aspen
Sports. For equipment
rentals we also recommend Incline
Sports next to the Gondola Plaza
in Aspen and Four Mountain
Sports. Handy tip – Four
Mountain sports are at every ski area, and Aspen Sports and many
of the other Aspen-based ski stores have branches in Snowmass too.
It really couldn’t be easier
to pick up and drop off rentals and you’ll find the service
excellent. For a quirky and fun stop, visit the Aspen Thrift Shop – hey,
this is Aspen, so we don’t have just your average Thrift –check
out the book section for brand new bargains, and the designer racks,
plus all proceeds benefit local non-profits.
